1. Which cookies we use
Cookies are small files that websites store in your browser. The Hotel Espel website works without them: analytics and marketing cookies are switched off until you accept them in the cookie notice.
- Necessary: we keep your cookie decision in your browser's local storage (
ap-consent) so we do not ask on every visit. It is not a cookie and is not sent to anyone. Duration: 12 months. - Analytics (Google Analytics 4):
_gaand_ga_QQZJL1TDRH. They tell visitors and their sessions apart so we can see, in aggregate, which pages are visited and where visits come from. Duration: 2 years. - Marketing (Google Ads):
_gcl_auand, if you arrive from an ad,_gcl_aw. They are used to measure the results of our advertising campaigns. Duration: 90 days.
These services are managed with Google Tag Manager, which loads on every visit but with consent denied: until you accept, it sets no cookies and does not identify you, and Google only receives signals without cookies or identifiers (for example, that a page was viewed). The provider is Google Ireland Limited, which processes the data under its cookie policy and privacy policy.
2. Managing your consent
On your first visit, a notice lets you accept all cookies, reject them or choose by purpose (analytics and marketing) just as easily. Your choice is kept for 12 months and you can change or withdraw it at any time through the “Cookie settings” link in the footer or by clicking here: Cookie settings. When you withdraw consent, the corresponding cookies are no longer used and those within your browser's reach are deleted.
3. Google content on the contact page and in the gallery
Two pages include Google content, which loads automatically when you reach that part of the page:
- Map (contact page).
- 360° virtual tour (gallery).
Once loaded, Google may set its own cookies and collect usage data, under the policies linked above. This content does not load on any other page.
4. Bookings
Pressing “Book” or “Search” opens the hotel's booking engine, which runs on the provider's external website. That site may use its own cookies, needed to complete the booking, and has its own cookie policy. If you have accepted cookies, Google Analytics may add an identifier to the booking engine's address so that your visit and your booking count as one.
5. How to manage or delete cookies
You can view, block or delete cookies in your browser settings:
6. Changes
If the cookies we use change, we will update this policy and, where needed, ask for your consent again.
