“Cal Miquel”.

In 1929, when Miquel and Celestina got married, the family boarding house “Cal Miquel” already existed in Escaldes-Engordany. In those days people in Andorra lived mainly from farming, and the green of the fields was everywhere in our valleys.

Cal Espel

Tourism arrives.

Over the years, tourism began to grow and the country developed. The name “Cal Miquel” was changed to “Cal Espel” so the family name would not be lost over the generations and, like tourism, the hotel grew step by step.
